Departure to Tivoli.
Upon arrival in Tivoli, visit of the splendid Villa Adriana, constructed as a retreat from Rome for Roman Emperor Hadrian (76-138) with the reproduction of ancient marvels: the thermae, the Pecile and the Maritime Theatre. In 1999, this archaeological site has been declared UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then visit of Villa d’Este, a Renaissance masterpiece of architecture, residence of the cardinal Ippolito II, famous for its sumptuous italian garden with fountains that create magnificent water games.
At the end visit of Villa Gregoriana (now Parco Villa Gregoriana), a park of remarkable value for its history and landscape, with a wide public park wanted by pope Gregorio XVI and realized in 1835.
