Overview

To Rome with Love is our most “rock” tour.
A discovery of truer and closer Rome to us, from Trastevere to the Pantheon, passing through the shopping quadrilater under the steps of Trinità dei Monti.
A Rome rich in art and ideas of contemporary history in a magical journey between beauty and fashion.
A tour that will end in the roman countryside, between Anagni and Subiaco, two of the richest towns in art and history…….and great food too!

DAY 1
DAY 1

Arrive in Rome and transfer to the hotel.
Today you will start your walking tour from the heart of Rome, Campo de 'Fiori, to understand the essence of this city.
Campo de 'Fiori is a historic place in Rome, a place where citizens have the opportunity to meet for both daytime and nighttime entertainment: a very famous outdoor market throughout Italy in the morning and a meeting place for the evening entertainment, a beer, a chat or a candlelit dinner. Leaving behind the liveliness of Campo de 'Fiori, we reach Piazza Navona.
Built on the ruins of the Emperor Domitian stadium, where the athletics competitions were held, Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome: entering it means breathing art, warmth and beauty. In the center of the square you can find the Fountain of the Four Rivers commissioned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1650 on the occasion of the Jubilee: the men who make up the fountain represent the Ganges with an oar in their hands, a symbol of Asia, the Danube sitting next to a horse, symbol of Europe, the Rio della Plata of the Americas with the raised arm and the Nile of Africa with the veiled head.
From here Rome is a succession of discoveries, of huge streets that are channeled into villages full of resources of unparalleled value such as Piazza della Rotonda and the Pantheon.
Gian Lorenzo Bernini had a great importance in the history of roman art: in Piazza di Spagna we find another masterpiece born from his conception, the Barcaccia Fountain which in the majesty of baroque art lies at the foot of Piazza di Spagna, dominated by the Church of Trinità dei Monti. Rome is rich in squares, art and history and there are places where roman art meets egyptian art, as in the case of the Obelisk in Piazza del Popolo which intersects in the background with two twin churches from the second half of the 17th century. The maximum expression of the intensity that this city is able to convey to those who visit it for the first time reaches the top in St. Peter's Square, where the Basilica, one of the most beautiful in the world, surrounded by Bernini's colonnade, will leave you breathless.
Dinner in a typical restaurant.
Overnight.

DAY 2
DAY 2

Let yourself be amazed by the Eternal City aboard this vintage car ...... you will pass in front of the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Circus Maximus up to the Aventine Hill to take a look at the famous "keyhole", we go along the Lungotevere until we reach the Trastevere district.
Lunch in a typical restaurant.
In the evening, tour of “Rome under the stars” ..... passing by the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, via Condotti and the Pantheon up to the Gianicolo from where we could enjoy a superb view!
Dinner in a typical roman tavern.
Overnight.

DAY 3
DAY 3

In the morning, after breakfast we head towards Anagni the "City of the Popes".
Here we will visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria, with the wonderful mosaic floor dating back to the 13th century and the Crypt of San Magno, one of the most beautiful and important crypts in Europe, so much so that it is called the "Sistine Chapel of the Middle Ages". Later we will also visit the adjacent Palazzo di Bonifacio VIII and the Civic Museum connected to it.
During the visit you will find yourself in an era that has seen intrigues of power, excommunications and internal struggles of opposing factions that aspired to wealth and the maximum papal throne. Lunch in a typical restaurant.
In the late afternoon we reach the hills of Ciociaria, for a visit to one of the best wineries in the area, where the Cesanese del Piglio DOC is produced, you will have a wine tasting and a gourmet dinner based on typical local dishes.
Overnight.

DAY 4
DAY 4

The last stop of our tour is Subiaco, where we will have a visit to the Monastery of S. Benedetto and S. Scolastica, a journey through time and spirit.
Pius II, visiting the Monastery of San Benedetto in 1461, called it a "swallow's nest". Embedded in the rock overlooking the valley below, it appears to the visitor who walks through the Sacred Wood. Walls, vaults and stairs, perfectly integrated into the stone on which they rest, with their irregularity, guarantee an authentic suggestion in those who come to visit it.
Consisting of two superimposed churches and chapels and caves, entirely frescoed in different periods, it constitutes a unique monument, for beauty and spirituality.
Lunch in a typical restaurant.
In the afternoon we indulge in some shopping and relaxation at Valmontone Outlet.
