Day 1 Naples



Meet with our representative in Rome and join our tour " Benvenuti al Sud".
Departure by bus to Naples with stop en route for lunch free at leisure.
Arrive to Naples and meet with local guide and commence city tour of Naples sites and monuments, known as "Napoli Monumentale".
From Piazza del Municipio, built on the ancient port of Neapolis and the Castel Nuovo, known as the Maschio Angioino, proceed towards the Umberto I gallery and the Gambrinus cafè - symbol of Napoli belle epoque.
Closeby to this historical coffee shop, it's possible to admire the famous S. Carlo Theatre and the 17th C style Royal Palace, symbol of the Bourbon era. A walk through history which will end where it all began: The Islet of Megaride - landing place for the founders of the city and a minor island of the Gulf of Naples on which Castel dell'Ovo rises.
Nowadays one can lose themselves in the narrow streets and alleys of Borgo Marinai, an ancient fishing district dominated by Castel dell' Ovo.

Day 2 Capri



Breakfast at hotel.
After a short transfer to Naples port, board ferry to Capri Isle, a jewel nestled among the rocks in the Gulf of Naples. Capri is famous for it's scenery and glamour.
On arrival to Capri, first stop will be a guided walk to the famous Piazzetta, otherwise known as "the living room of the world" , the place where movie stars from Hollywood and famous people have walked and continue to walk since the "Dolce Vita" back in the 1950s and 1960s.L
Onwards to via Camerelle where we will visit the marvellous gardens of Tuberio, with a spectacular terrace overlooking the Faraglioni, photostop to tourists and celebrities worldwide.
Continue by minibus to Anacapri, characteristic for it's pretty and colourful historic centre, full of narrow streets decorated with floral displays of geraniums and bouganvilles. Here it'll be possible to visit the Villa di S. Michele, home - museum of the Swedish writer Axel Munthe. Highlight of the tour is a visit to the famous S. Michael church, renowned for its Majolica floor mosaic of the Garden of Eve. Enjoy a fantastic and memorable sunset on the return ferry trip back to Naples.

Day 3 Vesuvio e Pompei

Departure to Vesuvio, where we will begin our climb by foot to reach the top, almost 1000m above sea level and enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Gulf of Naples. Precisely here back in 79 AD the eruption began, which caused the devastation and lives of the population of Pompei, Ercolano and Stabia.
We'll begin our descent from the crater and stop for lunch en route at a local farmhouse.
The guided tour continues on to Pompei, a city which has remained unchanged over time. Discover and learn how the urban fabric, interiors of the houses, objects for common use, where part of the daily life for habitants in Pompei. Reconstruct the moments after the Vesuvius explosion through small personal stories, ruins, objects which enable us to understand better the ancient Rome which has remained intact over time.

Amalfi

Day 4 Amalfi



Breakfast at hotel.
Today we'll dedicate a full day along the Amalfi Coast. This natural paradise gives the impression of a balcony overlooking the sea and sky. En route our first stop will be Positano considered "the pearl of the coast". Lose yourself along the small streets full of sounds, fabric colours and scents of citrus fruits and sweets. From any angle of Positano, it's possible to admire the majolica Dome of the Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta.
Proceed onwards to Amalfi, the glorious Maritime Republic with it's Duomo, also known as Cathedral S. Andrea, with it's splendid polychrome facade and 57 steps that are the highlight of a visit to Amalfi for all visitors worldwide.
Lunch free at leisure.
Depending on weather conditions and number of guests, the excursion along the coast will be by boat or minibus.
In the afternoon we'll reach Ravello, the real jewel of this town is Villa Rufolo. This timeless architectural beauty caputured Wagner's attention and enchanted him to use this place for refuge and meditation.

Day 5 Trani e Castel del Monte

Today we'll travel to Trani and visit one of the most beautiful towns in Puglia region. Visit includes the medieval Cathedral, main attraction of the city and the ancient Ghetto.
Lunch free at leisure.
Afterwards we'll visit the mysterious Castel del Monte, built by Frederik IIof Swabia in the 13th C and famous worldwide for it's octaganal plan. Since 1996, it is part of the list of UNESCO Heritage monuments and is currently one of the most visited monuments in Puglia.
Retun to hotel dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Alberobello & Grotte di Castellana



Breakfast at hotel.
Departure to Alberobello, also part of the UNESCO World heritage sites. Meet with local guide for a visit of the famous "Trulli's" unique architectural structures renowned worldwide.
Lunch free at leisure.
In the afternoon guided visit of the Castellana Caves, a complex of underground karst cavities offering a unique experience. In an amazing scenario, cross through caves, canyons and abysses with fantastic names discovering fossils, stalactitis, stalagmites and concrete forms of incredible shapes, sizes and colors, an amazing visit back in time to over 90 million years ago.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Ostuni & Lecce

Day 7 Ostuni and Lecce



Breakfast at hotel.
Today we will visit Ostuni, the famous "white city" which was first Roman and then became the important commercial point for the Normans. Here you'll be enchanted by the alleys and side streets that intertwine with each other. Steep uphills and downhills lined with white houses of this ancient village offer an image of elegance and baroque style. Tour includes a stop for oil tasting at an ancient oil mill.
Lunch free at leisure.
In the afternoon a guided tour to Lecce, the baroque city with it's Duomo and extraordinary 17th C Duomo Cathedral with it's bell tower rising up to 70m over the roof tops of the city. Proceed on towards piazza S. Oronzo to admire the Palazzo del Sedile, with the attached Marcian chapel, famous Patron Column and most of all the imposing Roman Amphitheater.
Our visit will end with one of the most famous symbols of the city: The Basilica of S. Croce and the adjoinging Palazzo dei Celestini.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.


Matera

Breakfast at hotel.
Departure to matera, for a guided tour of the "Città dei Sassi".
Visit begins at the Piazza Vittorio Square, with a panoramic view over civita and the sasso Barisano. Walk through the narrow streets of the centre admiring the artistic and architectural importance of the buildings up to the viewpoint of piazza duomo overlooking the sasso Barisano. Continue among the steps until we reach some rock churches, a typically furnished cave house and a historical cellar.

Our tour continues along the alleys and streets of the sassi, home to the natural setting of well known films such as Mel Gibson's the passion of christ and Pier Paolo Pasolini's gospel according to Matthew.
Stop at a craftsman shop for a demonstration by a master craftsman of matera traditional works.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
