POSITANO

Day 1

Departure from Rome to Naples by speed train.
Upon arrival private transfer from Naples to Positano.

Free time to visit the city, made up of a myriad of narrow streets and alleys that intersect the town, creating a labyrinthine and suggestive path. The center of the village is gathered around Piazza Flavio Gioia with the thirteenth-century church dedicated to St. Maria Assunta, on which stands the majolica dome. Here you can also admire colorful and contemporary mosaic sculptures with great visual impact, the work of Mimmo Paladino.

Free lunch.

In the afternoon you can enjoy walking along the so-called Lover's Path, that leads from the Spiaggia Grande to the Fornillo coves or along the narrow streets where it is easy to come across in the many boutiques and tailor shops or in the numerous art galleries, exhibiting a rich repertoire of works contemporary art.

Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast private transfer to Amalfi.

Once in Amalfi, guided tour of this old town with its lively and colorful Piazza Duomo. The square is dominated by the marvelous cathedral, which overlooks the sea. It is from this point that begin our tour. Let's start with the visit to the majestic Duomo, which with its endless staircase and its Arab-Sicilian style can only enchant us. On the left side of the arcade, we enter the beautiful Cloister of Paradise, entirely built in oriental style, with arches and thin double columns. Here you can enjoy not only an unreal sense of peace, also a refreshing coolness.

Once visit the cathedral, we move forward through the narrow streets of the town. Then we continue our excursion to Piazza Municipio, where is located the city hall, a sixteenth-century palace, once a monastery. Inside they are exposed ancient coins of Amalfi and the traditional costumes worn during the Historical Regatta.

Free lunch.

In the afternoon we will reach Piazza dello Spirito Santo, where begins the Valley of the Mills headquarters, since the Middle Ages, of old paper mills. Not far you can also visit the Paper Museum, which still preserves the ancient machinery for making paper.

Train from Naples to Rome.
